What do you think Agency Wealth Partners can best help clients with?
I think that we best help our clients by being the ultimate resource for complex situations, allowing our clients to focus on what’s most important in their lives. What makes us unique is we can assist with every aspect of their financial lives – and we partner directly with the other professionals they work with to ensure we have a full understanding of our client’s every goal and detail.

What are the top three things someone should consider before working with a wealth advisor?
I would say: Are they honest? Do they have integrity? And, is this someone I would want to have a coffee or drink with for the next 30 years? All the same criteria when choosing a new friend. Because that’s what we strive to be.

What is the biggest overall lesson you learned during your professional journey?
Honesty is the best policy. Own your achievements and own your faults.

What is the last book you read, for personal and for business?
I just read ‘Lone Survivor’ by Marcus Luttrell, which is an amazing story about teamwork and survival in an absolute worst-case scenario. Gripping. For business, I would recommend the book ‘Who Moved My Cheese?’ by Spencer Johnson. It’s a great reminder that change happens – and teaches lessons around how to embrace change instead of fighting it. And it aligns with my motto of ’It is what it is’ – sometimes you have to roll with it and adapt to be successful.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I am a Captain in the Connecticut Army National Guard, having served since 2007.

What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
I would highly recommend that everyone volunteer in a shelter and hand out food to the homeless and less fortunate. It’s a very humbling, very worthy experience.

What’s the best way to start the day?
With a hug from my son, Dempsey. I have yet to find anything that puts me in a more positive, enthusiastic mood than that little guy!
